• 1955 Trucial states firearms and ammunition regulation, including drafts, amendments and related correspondence. It is designed to prevent arms reaching the Saudi detachment in the Buraimi Oasis illegally and includes an amendment to exempt imports and exports for the purposes of HMG (1, 3-6)
• Correspondence relating to the discovery of a Belgian rifle in a Dubai rifle broker's house under suspicious circumstances. Scotland Yard and 'friends' make enquiries to trace its origins. Includes an extract of a note from the Belgian Fabrique Nationale (FN) stating that the rifle is not in its records, but in 1943, when the rifle is dated, the FN were working under German direction and arms issued at the factory were numbered by the Germans (2, 7)
