Allen has been passed on to us and our Partner Mr. H. Ridehalgh has now had an opportunity of discussing the problem with us. For the work which you 11lustrate so clearly in paragraphs 2 and 3 of your letter we would propose to provide the services in the field of an experienced hydrologist with particular additional experience of the underground hydrology of semi aria and aria zones, together with an assistant engineer-hydrologist. The team should spend up to 3 months in the field and say one month in the preparation of our report in London. The date by which our report can be submitted depends on the date by which you instruct us to commence and the availability of our staff at that particular time, though we foresee no significant difficulty in that respect. As requested we shall: (a) essemble, analyse, and record the available basic information on hydrology, meteorology, geology and topography (b) define the objectives of a later detailed investigation of relevant hydrological, meteorological, geological, and topographical factors. (e) + recommend the types and sequence of studies to be undertaken and prepare detailed specifications, a plon of operations, with detailed estimates of costs (a) - submit 12 copies of our Report to you. Our proposed reimbursement for carrying out the preliminary work is $4,500. The counterpart services to be provided by you locally without cost to us are suggested as follows: the provision of all such local transport by air, land, or sea as may reasonably be requested by the team. local furished and air conditioned accommodation. access to and, in some cases copies of, all available basic data, information, and maps.
