Dear Sir,
The family of Al-Zuhair (the heir of Ali Pasha)
in Basrah have a claim against the Sheikh of Kuwait. This
claim arises as Judgement in their favour has been issued
sometime ago over the piece of land known as the Bashyya_
in Faddaghyyah. The claim amounts to ID. 15000 (fifteen
thousand Dinars) being the yield of Dates of this plot which
was received by the Al-Sabah. You will undoubtedly find
some reference in your records of this case.
As legal action to recover this amount leads to
friction and unnecessary waste of time and energy, I have
written a letter to H.H. Sheikh Abdulla Al Salim Al Sabah
requesting the settlement of this sum.
I attach a copy of that letter for your perusal
and I shall be very grateful indeed if you will use your
good offices towards the settlement of this just claim.
I apologise for the inconvenience caused and I
assure you, Sir, that any assistance rendered in this respect
will be greatly appreciated.
