This file contains correspondence relating to the visit of the Regional Director of the United Nations Technical Assistance Board Hasan Mohammad Hasan to the Rulers of Ras Al Khaimah, Umm Al Quwain, Ajman, Sharjah and Dubai. He discussed how the United Nations could help with their development projects. The Rulers agreed to send Hasan a list of their individual requirements, which were primarily in the fields of health and education. It also includes discussion of the financing arrangements. The Trucial States Council agreed to pledge £100,000 to the United Nations Fund for Development Programmes. It also contains a record of Hasan's meeting at the Ministry of Overseas Development (1).
