- A proposal to transfer control over the import of arms to the governments of Bahrain and Qatar. Sheikh Isa Bin Salman Al Khalifa and Sheikh Ahmad Bin Ali Al Thani do not want to accept responsibility for arms control (1-2)
- A proposal for Britain to retain control of arms imports for the time being rather than trying to force the Rulers to accept responsibility (3)
- Arms control in the Gulf being held in abeyance and reviewed in six months (4)
- The opinions of Gulf posts on the subject of visits of arms salesmen to the Gulf and the prospect of Britain maintaining or increasing its sale of arms to the Gulf States (6).
