This file contains correspondence relating to:

• Copy of a draft Income Tax Law for Abu Dhabi, prepared by the Iraq Petroleum Company and the British Petroleum Company Limited for clearance with the Inland Revenue, along with comments and responses. It is also suggested that the same Income Tax Law could be implemented in Dubai (1-2)
• Agreements made between the Ruler of Dubai Sheikh Rashid Bin Saeed Al Maktoum and Petroleum Development (Trucial Coast) Limited, including: a draft income tax decree; a tax exemption decree; an agreement providing for a 50/50 profit sharing arrangement; and an agreement regarding the destination of substances exported from Dubai (3)
• Copy of a proclamation, in English and Arabic, issued by the Trucial Sheikhs in 1949 regarding their respective seabeds (4)
