- Account of a telephone conversation between H Beeley and J Terry Duce, the former Vice-President of the Arabian American Oil Company (ARAMCO), regarding the situation in Oman. Duce gave assurances that ARAMCO was not assisting the rebellion in order to further its ambitions in Oman, as some press reports were stating. He also emphasised the importance of settling the undefined boundaries in the southern half of the Arabian Peninsula, particularly now that oil had been discovered at Dhofar and offered his assistance in bringing about a settlement (1)

It also contains a later version of this list, expanded to include notes on the state of each dispute and possible paths to settlement, along with markings showing those disputes which are bound up with seabed issues and those in the settlement of which American cooperation is desired. The list has been prepared for upcoming talks with the US (2)
