Addressed to Foreign Office telegram No. 788
of July 23,
Repeated for information to P.O.M.E.F. and Saving

My telegram No. 786.

In addition to confirmation about leaflets I
stated to Press in answer to questions about foreign
participation that automatic weapons and land mines
which were presumably of foreign origin had been
used in the fighting in Oman. When asked if I
knew their origin, I replied that I had no concrete
evidence of this.
